Secondary residence analysis

Hanser Consulting AG calculates, analyzes and interprets, in the sense of an estimate, the costs and revenues of secondary residences from the perspective of your municipality's budget.

Depending on the situation, secondary residences have different effects on the financial budget of municipalities: types and amounts of taxes, services for guests, and other regional specifics mean that the municipality's budget is either increased or decreased by second homes, which can trigger emotional discussions between primary and secondary homeowners.

Hanser Consulting AG determines, analyzes, and interprets the costs and revenues of secondary residences from the perspective of the municipal budget. We offer this service in a standardized format, using a method developed by Hanser Consulting AG. The calculations are based either on the municipality's most recent annual financial statement or on the average of the last three annual financial statements.

Of course, we are happy to provide further information for in-depth discussions of the results and the secondary residences policy as a whole (expert opinion according to Art. 8 of the Secondary Residence Act ZWG).

1. Initial contact and agreement on the order

The calculation is optionally based either on the most recent annual accounts of the municipality or on the average of the last three annual accounts of the municipality for better-founded results.
